Now that those two weeks have turned into 2 months with no solid end date in sight (at least not in New Jersey), it’s safe to say we are all going a bit crazy! It’s important to maintain self-care though as we continue to remain safe in our homes and away from doing our normal day-to-day activities. Don’t fret though. Okay dress for success here does not mean a power suit and heels! We are talking dress for success in your house! If you’re sticking to your normal routine each morning as if you’re leaving the house, then you’re a rockstar in our book. But for the rest of us who just want to be comfortable being we won’t be leaving the house anyways, dress in cute loungewear. Think quarantine chic. Getting dressed in something cute for yourself can make such a difference in your day. It doesn’t even need to be jeans or anything crazy! There are so many cute loungewear options right now for example shorts with a cropped light long sleeved sweatshirt or a cute tie dye set. Dress for no one but yourself and your day will go much better.
If you are choosing pajamas as your choice of attire for the day (no judgment here), you might as well look cute while wearing them! I’m sure we can all agree that coffee is a MUST HAVE to get through these groundhog like days! Yes, we can all make our own coffee at home, but it never tastes quite like someone else making it for us. Anyone else missing Starbucks these days? The secret to having a fancy coffee is by frothing your milk! You don’t need a fancy espresso machine or some $400 coffee pot. This milk frother from Amazon is inexpensive and AMAZING! Who ever thought something this simple can make all the difference in the world? Trust me and try it.
And while you’re going to great lengths to make that perfect coffee, you might as well have the right cup to keep it hot in! This YETI Rambler Mug is another great Amazon find. Yes, it is a little bit of a splurge for a mug, but it is worth it. It comes in so many different colors with the standard Rambler wide opening lid and can act as a thermos keeping other foods warm (think oatmeal, chili, etc).

It seems like everything and anything we are doing while being at home consists of being in front of a screen. Whether you are on Zoom meetings for work, helping your kids with their schoolwork or just glued to your phone, purchase a pair of blue light blocking glasses. Add it into your day and stick with it. Even if it means waking up before your kids get up or when they go to bed. You have to make time for yourself and do good for your body.
